Born in Salvador, Bahia, Carla Visi   http://carlavisi.uol.com.br/carlavisi/  is a popular Brazilian Axé and MPB singer-songwriter.  With a career spanning over two decades, she has become known as the “Queen of Axé Music.”  Her powerful voice and charismatic live performances have made her one of the best-selling Brazilian female singers.  Carla is the former lead singer of the band Cheiro de Amor. While with the band she released four albums with them and has since released three solo albums.  She has performed her music all around the world, from Europe and the Americas to Asia.
Carnaval, the worldwide annual celebration, is the most famous and anticipated holiday in Brazil to let loose and dance the night away.  The country stops completely for nearly a week and festivities are held day and night, mainly in coastal cities like Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Bahia.  Brazilian Nites’ annual party – Brazilian Carnaval – is the closest you can get to the excitement and rhythms of Brazil, in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Brazilian Nites once again brings the true party spirit of Brazil to California with the top Brazilian musicians, the best local DJs spinning Brazilian dance hits, the energy of elite samba drummers, authentic Brazilian food and drinks, a 50-person participatory drum circle sponsored by REMO.com, and of course, the titillating and elaborately costumed, world-class Samba Dancers.  Audience costumes are encouraged.
